Brunel Energy Nigeria - Our client, a leading supplier of turbomachinery to the Oil & Gas industry. 

POSITION : Mechanical Engineer - Heavy Duty Gas Turbine

 Description

The successful candidates will work closely with Supervisors, EHS personnel, and the Operations Department to safely supervise and lead the installation and commissioning activities of Frame 6 turbines.

The HDGT Engineers will be in charge of the management of site activities including planning, organizing, integrating and monitoring of resources such as labour, tools and technical assistants as required to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements

Responsibilities 

  • Sign off on all changes implemented;
  • Complete standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements;
  • Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality;
  • Monitor site safety during project execution;
  • Ensure all parts needed for the job are shipped to the site ;
  • Provide customers with technical direction and support on vendor products;
  • Take direction from client to implement software changes to turbine, taking responsibility for directing lower level craft labour to perform the changes;
  • Workforce supervision during installation to ensure that the customer’s contractors are working properly;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Have tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience with the installation and commissioning of HD gas turbines;
  • Have good references that verify a sound employment history and safe working record
  • Must be in good health and be able to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screen.

Our Offer

  • Approximately $250USD per day (NET)
  • Includes travel, work permits, taxes, accommodation and living expenses.
