POSITION : Packaging Manager 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quality and Integrated Systems Management in the Department
  • Translate and implement packaging, manufacturing and business strategies
  • Manage Financial Performance
  • Manage Human Resources by developing employees; ensuring a healthy industrial climate; managing and applying people processes, managing own performance and that of direct reports etc.
  • Manage Occupational Health, Safety, Risk And Environment
  • Apply Advanced/Systemic Knowledge of the Packaging Plant and Process in the Department
  • Lead and Manage Plant, Process, Systems and Service requirements in the Department
  • Drive Systemic Performance improvement in the Department
  • Lead the Systemic Application of Asset Management in the Process Area
  • Communicate effectively in the workplace

 Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical/Electronic Engineering with Diploma in Packaging (IBD) and/or additional business qualification
  •   5 - 6 years’ experience in Packaging line operations management or related field at a senior line management position in a brewery or FMCG with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role
  • Good understanding of the principles and practices of Manufacturing Excellence
  • Sound computer knowledge

 Competencies  

  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (eg. COSWIN)
  • Strong leadership potential and Proven leadership skills
  • Good communicator, with effective team-related skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Act with Integrity
  • Analytical problem solver
  • Deep understanding of maintenance practices
  • Good understanding of the principles and practices of The Manufacturing Excellence
