They now have openings for Financial Assistant in Lagos.
Job Summary
The financial assistant will report directly to, and work closely with the Revenue Assurance Manager on all aspects of finance for the Lagos sales teams. The role will also work closely with the finance team, the telesales team and other colleagues in our Lagos office. This is an exciting opportunity to gain excellent financial exposure in an up and coming energetic business located in Lagos. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Tracking payments and deposits made by the sales teams with timely confirmation
•Ongoing reconciliation of bank statements throughout the month and timely reconciliation for month end
•Keeping and maintaining petty cash
•Ensuring month end deadlines for accruals, prepayments and ledger maintenance are met
•Processing purchase invoices and expenses in the accounting system
•Raising invoices on a timely basis
•Reviewing invoices and investigating old unapproved invoices
•Forming excellent working relationships with colleagues across the organisation
•Any other administrative duties delegated by the Revenue Assurance Manager, or Head of Finance.
PREFERABLE
•B.Sc. or HND in Accounting / Finance
•Student Member of Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (Professional).
ESSENTIAL
•Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
•Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage)
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Ability to priorities multiple tasks in a busy, deadline-driven environment
•An energetic can-do attitude
•Willingness and ability to take on tasks within wider finance team as required
•Flexibility in adapting to different cultures
•Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
•Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
