Bourbon Offshore Greenmar recruits Stage 3 Crane Operator – Knuckleboom – MPSV Fleet
Mission:
To operate Offshore Crane and ensure its higher condition for completion operations in a safe and reasonable manner at all times:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out all mandatory inspections and maintenance of the Crane and accessories as required by the Manufacturer and the Company Management System
- Committed to Safety and Company Procedures in all tasks
- Maintain mandatory records (i.e. logbooks, timesheet) as required by the Company Management System
- Ensure the greasing / lubrication of the wires.
- Supervise ABs when greasing cables and wire ropes
- Assist with general shipboard daily maintenance when no crane operations are needed
- Touch-up the paintwork on the crane whenever and wherever necessary
- Train local personnel in the use of cranes and other lifting gear on board
- Participate in the development of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) concerning crane lift, rigging equipment (see the Safety Officer)
- Check with the Deck Foreman that proper rigging is in place and make sure that the rigging system SWL meets load demand
- Reports and communicate issues, maintenance failure or any problem related to the crane
- Keep track of crane certification and advise the Deck Foreman of any forthcoming requirements
Line reporting and functional linkage:
- This position will report directly to Master (general); Chief Engineer (maintenance); Offshore Manager (Subsea operations).
Key skills and behaviors:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Excellent and extensive knowledge of the requirements of the relevant Health and Safety legislation and procedures
- Good driving skills
- High levels of alertness and concentration;
- Physical strength, stamina, co-ordination and flexibility;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
The Crane Operator shall have large experience of working with Knuckle boom Cranes
Education:
The Crane Operator shall be holding a Sparrows stage 3 Crane Operator certificate
Contract:
Permanent contract (1 year, renewed automatically at the end of the year).
Rotation: 60 days on/off
