Petmam Ventures Limited is recruiting for qualified candidates to fill the position of:

Job Title: Navigation QA/QC

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description:
Configure, operate, and maintain positioning systems and equipment used in marine seismic operations. (Typical systems include integrated navigation solutions, Satellite Navigation equipment and networks, USBL and LBL acoustic systems, as well as radio telemetry and communication installations.) Analyze, process, and QC the seismic positioning data. Plan and execute the navigation process for the seismic vessel in order to fulfill the survey requirements.

Other duties as needed and/or required
 

  • Degree in Geoscience/ Survey/ Positioning with 3 years experience onboard seismic vessels.
  • 5-10 years practical experience as a Navigator may substitute for degree.
  • While not a requirement, experience using the Gator integrated navigation solution would be considered favorable.
  • Good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work within a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable. (Duty rotation is planned to run 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off.)
  • Must have a positive commitment to QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment).
