Cradle to Crayon School, Abuja, (www.beautifulbeginingsacademy.org) an elementary school operating the British National curriculum is currently looking to hire a school administrator.
Job Title: School Administrator
Job Location: Abuja
Job description
- Policy making, conceptualizes the broad goals of the school and plans accordingly to ensure that procedures and schedules are implemented to carry out the total school program.
- General Coordination: ensures that the school program is compatible with the legal, financial and organizational structure of the school system.
- Defines the responsibilities and accountability of staff members and develops plans for interpreting the school program to the pupil.
- Administering the 'student lifecycle' from registration or admission to graduation or leaving;
- Servicing committees including academic boards, governing bodies etc
- Providing administrative support to an academic team
- Coordinating examination and assessment processes;
- Maintaining high levels of quality assurance,
- Using information systems and preparing reports;
- Managing budgets and ensuring financial systems are followed;
- Liaising with partner institutions, other institutions, external agencies, government departments and prospective pupils;
- Organizing and facilitating a variety of educational or social activities.
- Maintenance of all School property and ensure efficient record keeping
Desired Skills and Experience
- Ability to deal positively with change;
- Strong interpersonal skills, to relate effectively with others at different levels including students, academics and colleagues in other areas of education administration;
- Good written communication skills;
- Being a good team member;
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively;
- IT skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and use of the internet.
