Our major areas of expertise are Analogue and Digital Site Surveys, Pipeline  and Cable Route Surveys, Hazard Surveys, Rig Positioning, VSP positioning and Pipe-lay Positioning.

Brone Positioning and Survey is recruiting to fill the role of:

Job Title: Digital Seismic Observers, Gun + Compressor Mechanics - (Offshore)

Ref: DSO/M
Job Location: Lagos

Job Description:

  • Digital seismic observer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and operation of the seismic survey equipment.
  • Experience with seismic streamers, airgun arrays, seismic recording systems is absolutely necessary.
  • A strong technical and electronic background is essential, whilst a practical ability to problem solve is necessary.
  • A Gun Mechanic must possess a good knowledge of general mechanics, HSE, splicing ropes, assembly of synflex air-lines, basic computer skills for gun controller.
  • Candidate will perform repairs and maintenance of high pressure air guns and firing lines, ensuring that the air guns and compressors are in good working condition, will maintain and service seismic compressors, airguns and controller.

Requirements

  • M.Sc / B.Sc / HND / City & Guilds (Electronics /Electrical Engineering/ Geophysics/ Engineering Physics)
  • A minimum of Five (5) years experience is required.
