Job Responsibilities
- The editor will be responsible for the delivery of world class relevant content for our readers.
- Success will be measured by audience development and engagement. For example, performance metrics for the web will include: unique user, page impressions/users and time spent/users.
- The ideal candidates must take charge of three key areas content management.
- Audience development and staff management.
Requirements
- Relevant journalism experience, with strong analytical, creative organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates must possess proficiency in modern, digital journalism.
- Experience as a line editor in a mainstream newspaper is an added advantage.
- A robust network of news sources is essential, as well as a good presence on social media.
