Innov8 Ltd a specialist Oil & Gas recruitment firm is recruiting for a highly reputable Indigenous Oil & Gas company seeking to fill the following positions below:
Job Title: Drilling Engineer
Job Location: Lagos
•Conducts detailed well engineering studies and plans well operations such that:
•The design of the drilling programme is compliant with design requirements.
•The scope of work for all Contractors is clear.
•The most cost effective techniques and equipment are utilised.
•Accurate costs are presented to the company.
•HSSE objectives are clear and form the basis upon which operations will be conducted.
•Co-ordinates and controls an efficient, safe and economical execution of exploration drilling operations for a number of offshore and onshore rigs in accordance with approved programmes.
•Co-ordinates and manages the company’s personnel and contractors under his supervision.
•Ensures that the programme and reporting meets all relevant standards and legal requirements.
•Varies changes or re-schedules the operations outlined in the well programme, when required, in order to achieve the well objectives.
•Ensures the quality and completeness of data from the well site
•Ensures compliance with all government regulations and environmental certification.
•Supervises all daily, weekly, monthly, end of well and special reports on operational activities.
•Performs other specific tasks as assigned.
•Knowledge, experience and demonstrated proficiency in all of the activities described above.
•First degree in Engineering
•Masters in Petroleum Engineering or Well Engineering desirable
•A similar drilling engineering role in an operating company.
•A similar phase of exploration drilling activity.
•A similar role in Nigeria.
•Well Design &Well cost estimating
