JOB TITLE: COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

RESPONSIBILITIES
To develop media and communication strategies for the nutrition programme in Northern Nigeria and to lead on delivering these strategies
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a B.A in communication and 1 year experience as a health journalist or in media handling.
JOB TITLE: LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA TECHNICAL ADVISOR
LOCATION: ZAMFARA
RESPONSIBILITIES
To strengthen the capacity of the Local Government Area (LGA) nutrition focal person or team (as designated by the LGA) in management, delivery and advocacy of cost-effective malnutrition prevention and treatment interventions.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least a B.A. in programme management, health and nutrition, or related social science.
Strong programme management background with least 2 years of professional experience in managing health and/or nutrition programmes
JOB TITLE: BASE MANAGER
LOCATION: ZAMFARA
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall management of the field office.
Key activities include the management of all support aspects, such as finance, administration, logistics and security.
Management of security policy and representation of Save the Children UK.
Management of support staff based in the field office
QUALIFICATIONS
Health background (doctor, nurse, midwife, etc)
At least 5 years of professional experience, 3 years of experience on IYCF and breastfeeding counseling.
JOB TITLE: INFANT AND YOUNG CHILD FEEDING TECHNICAL ADVISOR
LOCATION: Zamfara
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support implementation of IYCF activities by providing training and guidance to STAs, LTAs and government counterparts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Health background (doctor, nurse, midwife,etc)
At least 5 years of professional experience,, 3 years experience on IYCF and breastfeeding counseling.
JOB TITLE: AREA MANAGER
LOCATION: KASTINA
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Area Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring integrated, high quality program delivery and a safe and effective present of Save the Children in the assigned field location.
S/he maintains effective relationships with all other key players in the area (NGO, UN, and governmental) to ensure effective coordination of activities and ability to implement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in a related field, masters preferable.
