We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Position: Senior Maternal/Child Health Advisor

Overall Responsibilities

  • Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is a non-profit international health organization composed of nearly 2500 people from more than 74 nationalities working in 47 countries.
  • Our mission is to save lives and improve the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people by closing the gap between knowledge and action in public health.
  • Together with our partners, we are helping managers and leaders in developing countries to create stronger management systems that improve health services for the greatest health impact.

Project Summary

  • MSH is currently preparing for an upcoming USAID- funded health system strengthening, maternal, new born and child health and family planning/reproductive health projects in Northern Nigeria.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Project’s technical assistance activities to strengthen Nigeria’s MCH and service delivery system with a focus on strengthening systems and improving outcomes at the State levels.
  • Take the lead in designing programs that strengthen and promote high impact maternal and child health interventions at primary health care facilities.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in related field and minimum of 8 years senior- level experience designing, implementing, and managing larger complex, maternal/child health programs or projects in Africa, preferably Northern Nigeria.
