JOB TITLE: Mechanical Inspector Job (REF-MI)
JOB PURPOSE/ SPECIFICATlON:
o To plan the inspection of equipment and applications, generate work orders based on the result of Inspection, undertake first analysis and define priorities.
o Maintain in-depth knowledge of plant equipment condition, tracking, measuring & analyzing trends In order to identify mechanical maintenance needs and ensure high level of equipment operation,
o Inspect all plant equipment using inspections level 1 and 2 during running and shutdown conditions, formalize inspection reports and monitor critical plant equipment.
o Evaluate and improve preventive maintenance work plan using expertise and recommendation of manufacturer.
o Propose alternative ways of extending the life of plant equipment contribute to failure analysis and recommend corrective actions.
o Maintain close communication with production department in order to obtain feed-back of operating conditions of equipment.
o Close work orders executed with information relevant to the history of the equipment.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
o B.Sc/HND In Mechanical Engineering. Experience in dedusting systems function and maintenance of rotating equipment. is required for the job.
o Must be computer literate. conversant with mechanical operation.
o Must be conversant with hydraulic & pneumatic circuits, gearboxes, transmission, welding techniques, lubrication, mechanical non-destructive testing, vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermograph, liquid penetrant. ultrasonic, magnetic particle, radiography and function/maintenance of equipment (crusher, stacker, reclaimer, raw mill, belt conveyors auxiliary equipment etc).
o Must be able to trouble shoot and propose corrective actions.
o Must possess communication. planning and analytical problem solving skills.
o Minimum of 3 years post NYSC experience. Experience in cement industry will be preferred.
