Job Description
Far East Mercantile Co Ltd (FMCL) seeks a skilled Brand Manager to manage the McVitie’s brand of biscuits.
McVitie’s is a leading global biscuit brand, producing some of the best known and loved biscuits since 1829. This classic brand has been delighting consumers globally for generations and includes favourites such as Digestives and Hobnobs. The McVitie’s brand is owned by United Biscuits (UB), whose headquarters are in London (UK). McVitie’s has continued to see strong growth over recent years, is supported by significant marketing investment.
The Brand Manager, working exclusively on the McVities portfolio, will be charged with the development, implementation and evaluation of Nigerian marketing plans.
Responsibilities include:
- Marketing plans
- Working regionally to implement and evaluate Marketing plans across Nigeria
- Development of all supporting materials
- Working closely with the sales team to ensure alignment
- Leading the local packaging design and origination process
- Managing consumer test panels
- Day-today management of agencies
Desired Skills & Experience
The successful candidate should be a skilled, energetic, dynamic Marketer with an intimate knowledge of Nigerian consumer habits and behaviours.
Essential attributes and qualifications include;
- 5 years FMCG marketing experience in Nigeria
- Self-starter with strong work ethic and self discipline
- Proactive, action oriented and dynamic
- Proven experience managing agency relationships
- Hold an intimate knowledge of Nigerian culture
- Fluency in English and one local language
