ABHR Consulting - Our client, a leading indigenous Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company, is looking to recruit suitable candidates in the vacant position below for its operations in Nigeria:

POSITION : Asset Manager

Role Summary
The purpose of this position is to manage the company’s hydrocarbon production assets. The candidate is also required to plan, coordinate, organize and control oil production at our field to achieve the greatest returns. The role is responsible for

Overseeing field development efforts and improving the production performance, efficiency and profitability of the field; through the provision of effective methods and strategies to ensure that operations targets are met in a safe, efficient and environmentally friendly manner in accordance with company’s policies, objectives and standards.
Managing a team of about 60 people.

Essential Qualification

B.Sc in an Engineering discipline.
Minimum 15 years’ experience in an oil and gas, exploration & Production company preferably in reservoir engineering or production engineering/ technology, of which 5 years must be at managerial level.
Current engineering certifications (e.g. COREN, NSE) is an advantage.

POSITION : Financial Control Officer

Role Summary
The purpose of this position is overall corporate accounting, the candidate will be responsible for financial management, planning and reporting as well as providing the tax management strategy. The role is responsible for:

Overseeing joint venture finance management, treasury management as well as budgeting and control.
Analysing financial data, identifying and communicating potential risk areas. Also, ensuring effective financial controls are implemented to mitigate identified risks.
Developing and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets.

Essential Qualification

B.A., B.Sc./HND in a related Field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in a finance function of which 3 years' experience must be at managerial level.
Joint Venture experience is an advantage.
Current accounting certifications (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is a must.

POSITION : Treasury & Risk Accountant

Role Summary
The purpose of this position is to manage the company’s long term and short term investment strategies as well as identifying exposures and recommending strategies to minimize risk or loss. The role is responsible for:

Assessing, monitoring, planning and managing the efficient utilization of funds in a manner consistent with the objectives of the company.
Forecasting daily cash requirements and executing daily financing decisions.
Managing all aspects of in-house investment portfolios.
Reviewing and recommending changes to the investment policies based on the market conditions.

Essential Qualification

BA, BSc./HND in a related field.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a finance function.
Current accounting certifications (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is an added advantage.

POSITION : Budgeting & Financial Accountant

Role Summary
The purpose of this position is managing the organization’s budgeting system. The candidate is also expected to develop, review and update budgeting and control policies and processes. The role is responsible for:

Working with department’s budget owners to create and monitor operating budgets.
Preparing and providing financial and narrative reports and analysis to senior management.
Developing regular financial reports and analysis; forecasting and trending budget performance arid institutional financial positioning for the senior leadership team.

Essential Qualification

B.A., B.Sc./HND in a related field
Minimum of 5 years of budgeting, financial reporting and financial systems management work experience.
Current accounting certifications (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is an added advantage.

POSITION : Legal Officer

Role Summary
The purpose of this position is the provision of legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks to the company. The role is responsible for:

Implementing legal intelligence and advisory systems which support the Company’s strategic and operational plans.
Liaising with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action will be taken to prevent disputes or litigation.

Essential Qualification

LLB, BL
Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience either in a law firm or a corporate organization.
Demonstration of a thorough knowledge of the working and practice of Nigerian Law is a requirement.

POSITION : External Affairs Consultant

Role Summary
The purpose of this position is to manage the corporate image of the company and relationships with external stakeholders in line with the organizational objectives. The role is responsible for:

Creating the corporate identity of the company.
Developing, maintaining and leveraging relationships with key stakeholders including governments, regulatory authorities, media and international bodies.
Projecting the company's brand Within the industry the country as well as internationally.
Creating and maintaining a company profile and website that supports the company’s positive image.

The role which reports to the Executive Director, Services is a one year contract role.

Essential Qualification

BA, B.Sc./HND in a related field
Minimum of 8 years broad experience occupying a similar role.
Membership of NIPR (National Institute of Public Administration and Relations) and/or APCON (Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria) is a requirement.
