RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for working with owners and ship leadership to fully deploy the owners’ SMS on all contracted Logistics / Projects Support vessels. In addition will be required to implement MPN driven programs, Eg. Work at Heights, ER drills, Work Management
- Deploying MPN Marine Safety Initiative directly to the crews onboard ships, working with them at their places of work, encouraging them in all aspects of safety related discipline
- Identifying operational shortcomings that have an impact on ongoing safe operations
- Recommending changes that will improve operational safety in the Marine operation
- Developing and supporting shipboard safety meetings, helping the ships crews to structure regular safety meetings and recommending how effective structure and follow through can benefit safety onboard ship.
- Verifying inspection / walk through deficiencies are closed as noted by vessel owners
- Working with Owners Safety Reps to fully develop and deploy owners SMS and related procedures as defined by laws of the sea

REQUIREMENT
- Class 2 marine vessel license , or College / University Education with professional experience in the offshore marine industry. .
- 7-10 years’ experience working in the capacity of a Safety Practitioner with Marine Environment experience
- Preferably to have exposure to West African Marine Logistics Operations
