POSITION : Team Lead, Reconciliation & Settlements
Description
- The Team Lead, Reconciliation and Settlement will have the primary responsibility of continuously reconciling company key accounts, so as to proactively identify errors and issues for swift resolution.
Essential Duties
- Ensure settlements of service providers are performed daily, weekly, monthly
- Responsible for cash and bank reconciliations
- Perform stock reconciliations
- Perform device income reconciliations
- Perform merchant deposit reconciliations
- Perform year-end closing procedures
Qualification and Requirements
- BA / BSc in Accounting or Finance (2:1 and above)
- 3-4 years’ experience in a similar position
- Must be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or advanced stage of professional qualification
- Good understanding of accounting practices and standards (IFRS)
- Experience in different account reconciliations
- Experience in preparation of IFRS financial statements is not required, but will be an advantage
Personal Attributes:
- High level use of analytic tools especially Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable with other Microsoft Office Tools, particularly Word and PowerPoint
- Critical thinking and questioning mind-set
- Good communication skills - oral and writing, especially report writing
