POSITION : Sales Support Accountant - General Ledger
Description
- To coordinate the reconciliation of all general ledger accounts managed by the Sales Support & Financial Control Department
- Ensure that payments made by Distributors are reconciled to the respective bank accounts, that distributor statements are reconciled to the general ledger and inventory sub-ledger reconciled to inventory general ledger accounts.
- Supervise reconciliation of all Connect Store Bank Accounts, Dealer Collection Accounts and other GL accounts managed by Sales Support and Financial Control.
- Initiate and review all requests for new General Ledger (GL) accounts from S&D and proposes GL mapping for new entries impacting General Ledger.
- Conduct periodic review/analysis of inventory general ledger information, investigate and resolve reconciling items and adjust entries to correct errors noted.
- Review the computation of various categories of commission.
- Assist with ad-hoc wholesale accounting projects or assignments in support of the department.
- Ensure value is created when engaging with customers
- Prepare agreed activity and performance reports on a timely basis for relevant stakeholders.
- Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.
- Foster active collaboration and relationships with employees across all levels and divisions in line with MTNs VB and values.

Experience & Training
Education:
- First degree in any related discipline
- A professional accounting qualification
- Fluent in English
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an area of specialisation; with experience working with others
- Experience in a similar/ related function
- Experience working in a medium organization
