POSITION : Zonal Manager (Out Grower) 

 Description

• Develop a strong replicable out-grower function for the company that will ensure social visibility and impact on the ground
• Should ideally be an agriculture graduate with experience in contract farming or out grower model
• Excellent knowledge on Crop protection chemicals
• Willing and able to guide & train the smallholder farmers in various basic farming technical skills
• Competent in Crop assessment/Crop forecasting
• Timely communication of risk factors with cause-consequence analysis
• Database management (crop tour data; phone survey data; production files; trial analysis for different chemicals and crops; etc.)
• Weather and agronomy analysis (weather monitoring; water balance response; monsoon monitoring; crop tour results by yield; planting/harvesting monitoring; etc.)
• Team management
• Experience of handling multiple crops

Qualifications

• B.Sc. Ag. /M.Sc in Agriculture, (Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Entomology etc.) or a Diploma in Agriculture; Work experience in seed industry and Knowledge in Seed production specially hybrid seed production will be essential for vacancies in seed production.

Skills Required:

• Excellent speaking skills in Hausa.
• Good at MS OFFICE - word, excel and power-point.
• Able to execute out grower for Rice, Maize and Soybean crop.
• Conversant with the local cultures and customs in North Nigeria.
• Willing to travel.
• High integrity levels.
