POSITION : Telemarketer

Descriptions

Candidate will be responsible for influencing existing or potential customers to buy products or services.

An ideal telemarketer must be friendly and persuasive. You must be able to understand the customer’s requirements in a short time and present solutions that meet their needs.

Also be patient and cool-tempered to deal with aggressiveness and complaints.

 Responsibilities

• Receive orders over the phone and maintain details in a digital system.
• Record customer details and details of transactions.
• Obtain contact details of potential customers from sources such as digital directories and alternative sources.
• Schedule appointments for sales staff to meet prospective customers and conduct customer and market surveys.
• Make phone calls to prospective customers who respond to advertisements.
• Contact customers regularly to follow up on initial interactions.
• Get in touch with business owners or individuals via the phone to promote products, services and/or charitable causes.
• Modify scripted transaction pitches to meet the needs of particular entities.
• Record buyer details, including reactions to the product and/or services offered.
• Take orders for goods and services over the phone.
• Explain the product or service to potential customers.
• Provide pricing details and handle customer questions.
• Obtain customer information, including names and addresses.

Requirements

• Persistent and results-oriented
• Patient and able to appropriately handle diverse customer reactions.
• Tangible experience as a telemarketer or similar customer-related role.
• Tangible track record of high sales conversion rates preferably over the phone
• Working knowledge, or strong desire to learn relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software)
