POSITION : Pathologist

DESCRIPTION

  • Examine microscopic samples to identify diseases or other abnormalities
  • Perform autopsies when required.
  • Oversee the laboratory with the responsibility of managing other physicians and lab technicians
  • Communicate pathologic findings to surgeons or other physicians and assist in diagnosis, treatment and management decisions.
  • Conduct research and present scientific findings.
  • Conduct prescribed tests, analyse results and prepare reports based on findings.
  • Examine and diagnose bodily fluids, such as blood and urine, or tissues from biopsies and Pap smears, to diagnose disease

Education

  •  MBBS from a recognized medical school with specialty in pathology

 Requirements:

  • Be currently licensed by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Must stay abreast of research and development in the field of pathology and be knowledgeable about existing data in medical practices and diseases.
  • Reside in Kwara State (Ilorin and its environs)
