JOB TITLE: SECURITY MANAGER

JOB LOCATION: LAGOS

JOB DESCRIPTION
First World Communities Limited is a leading real estate develonent organisation focused on providing affordable housing for low and medium income households across Nigeria and West Africa, in attractive and safe communities, as a contribution to socio-economic development. Beyond the delivery of over 10,000 residential and commercial properties over the next three years, the Lagos based company is also involved in construction of landmark projects and infrastructure development. Construction is ongoing in some ofthe project sites, while others are scheduled to commence not later than 2013.
As a result of planned growth and a desire to build an institution with the capacity to support this expansion, vacancies now exist for leadership positions:

RESPONSIBILITY

  • The Security Manager will be responsible for the identification and management of security and related risks (including emergency response planning)  relating to the companys operation to ensure best practices in the protection of employees and its assets.
  • The role will provide leadership in the delivery of comprehensive, efficient, cost effective, operational and tactical security service and provide strategic advice to the management.


REQUIREMENTS

  • The job requires a candidate with exellent leadership and management skills with the ability to work under pressure and minimal supervision.
  • A high level of drive, industry and personal discipline are critical to succeed in this position coupled with good interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of personal integrity, confidentiality and trustworthiness.
  • The ideal candidate will have a military or para military background and must have assumed the rank of a Captain or Superintendent of Police or its equivalent.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role in an established organization is necessary.
  • A good first degree or HND in any discipline will be required.
  • The age range for the position is 35 - 45 years.
