POSITION : Human Resource Officer
Descriptions
- Involving in communicating HR policies, and other information useful to employees via various means of communication;
- Promoting equality and diversity as part of culture of the organization;
- Liaising with the line managers involved in staff performance appraisal and health and safety;
- Recruiting of staff which includes developing job descriptions and specifications, preparing job adverts, conducting interviews and selecting candidates;
- Planning, and sometimes delivering training – including inductions for new staff;
- Analyzing training needs in conjunction with departmental managers;
- Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, and disciplinary procedures and absent management;
- Working closely with various departments, increasingly in a mentoring role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures;
- Involving in devising HR strategies that will be in alignment with overall business strategies;
- Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits;
- Administering payroll and maintaining employee records;
- Interpreting and advising on employment law;
- Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures;
- Developing with the line managers HR planning strategies which consider immediate long term staff requirements;
- Conducting constructive customer’s satisfaction and feedback monthly;
- All other responsibilities as may required for the achievement of the company’s vision, mission and strategic intents.
Qualifications
- B.Sc in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Industrial and Labour Relations, Business Administration, Sociology, Psychology and other related Management or Social Science Courses with at least minimum of Second Class Upper;
- CIPM membership will of added advantage;
- 3 years working experience in HR related activities;
