POSITION : Accountant
Responsibilities
- Providing strategic support to management in terms of budgets and budgetary controls (Financial Planning and Analysis)
- Deploying required technology and put in place effective financial structures and processes
- Safeguarding the assets of the organization
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulatory requirements such as external audit, tax remittance and other obligations like Pension Funds etc
- Building strategic relationship with External Auditors, Tax Authorities and other relevant Agencies
- General accounting and financial reporting
- Be involved in all financial plans and accounting practices of the organization, Budget, tax and audit activities of the organization and its subsidiaries. He/she is expected to be a dedicated and effective team player in:
- Financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensure timely financial and statistical reports for management and/or Board use
- Ensuring financial efficiency organizationwide-including the implementation of proper costing and cost management processes
- Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the MD/CEO as required
Requirements
- Graduate with B.Sc/HND in Accounting with ACA, ACCA professional accounting qualification orequivalent and a minimum of five(5) years post qualification experience
- WASC/GCE ‘O” Level with a minimum of 5 credits(Including English and Mathematics)
- Additional qualification will be an added advantage
