Hays Nigeria - Our client, a manufacturer of glass containers mainly for the beverage industry is recruiting to fill the position below:
POSITION : Manager - Glass Furnace & Batch House
Responsibilities
- Planning and procurement of raw materials required for manufacturing of glass both locally and from other international suppliers
- Able to solve day to day problems regarding glass quality and also should have ability to do effective color changes as plant requirement
- Responsible for the effective energy management
- Planning and execution of small, minor repairs for maintenance of batch house and furnace in good operating condition for its life
- Ensure good manufacturing systems in place in terms of checklist, log books, history tracking for effective maintenance management for batch house and furnace operations
- Take complete responsibility of all furnace and batch house operations
- Close coordination with the team members of own team and other department heads to achieve the end result is a must. Should design a diplomatic feedback mechanism to take the team along
- Establish right (predictive, preventative & breakdown) maintenance practices for all the equipments related to furnace and batch house
- Should focus on safety for personnel and equipment. Should comply with health practices as per the law
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Ceramic Engineering with 20+ years experience in the container glass manufacturing industry.
