POSITION : Private Dance Instructor

Description

Responsible for leading dance classes for individual or groups of people. Their duties are closely related to teaching various dancing techniques. Will give lessons to both children and adults by demonstrating dances before the class, in order to effectively teach students new moves.

Dance Teachers usually perform many of the following tasks:

  • Instructing students at home.
  • Making suggestions to students.
  • Monitoring student´s performance.
  • Planning activities.
  • Adapting teaching methods to meet student´s needs.

Skills:

  • An understanding of health and safety.
  • Being patient.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Being physically fit.
  • Dedication and passion for dancing.
  • Having business skills.
  • Able to control groups of pupils.
  • Good sense of quality music.
  • Able to motivate others.
  • Able to work with people of all ages.
