POSITION : Packaging Manager
Responsibilities
Lead the Quality and Integrated Systems Management in the Department
Translate and implement packaging, manufacturing and business strategies
Manage Financial Performance
Manage Human Resources by developing employees; ensuring a healthy industrial climate; managing and applying people processes, managing own performance and that of direct reports etc.
Manage Occupational Health, Safety, Risk And Environment
Apply Advanced/Systemic Knowledge of the Packaging Plant and Process in the Department
Lead and Manage Plant, Process, Systems and Service requirements in the Department
Drive Systemic Performance improvement in the Department
Lead the Systemic Application of Asset Management in the Process Area
Communicate effectively in the workplace
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical/Electronic Engineering with Diploma in Packaging (IBD) and/or additional business qualification
5 - 6 years’ experience in Packaging line operations management or related field at a senior line management position in a brewery or FMCG with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role
Good understanding of the principles and practices of Manufacturing Excellence
Sound computer knowledge
Competencies
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (eg. COSWIN)
Strong leadership potential and Proven leadership skills
Good communicator, with effective team-related skills
Attention to detail
Act with Integrity
Analytical problem solver
Deep understanding of maintenance practices
Good understanding of the principles and practices of The Manufacturing Excellence
