POSITION : Internal Control Officer
Responsibilities
- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
- Maintain open communication with management
- Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
- Responsible for auditing procedures to ensure they meet set standards
- participate in investigations and inspections
- Prepares audit finding memorandum and working papers to ensure that adequate documentation exists to support the completed audit and conclusions.
- Performing the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
- Determining internal audit scope and developing annual plans
- Obtaining, analyzing and evaluating accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts etc
- Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
- Supervision: This role reports directly to the Managing Partner.
- Contacts:You will be required to liaise on a day-to-day basis with other departments; i.e. Human Resources
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- At least 3-5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations, High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills, Sound independent judgement
- Extended work hours when required and meet tight deadlines; Ability to work with minimal supervision.
