JOB TITLE: PROVISION OF ENVIROMENTAL CONSULTANCY

JOB LOCATION: LAGOS

JOB DESCRIPTION
Brunel Energy provides specialist personnel to the international oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation and construction industries. Our clients are predominantly major operating companies and international engineering or construction companies. Through a network of 35 offices in 5 continents (Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Australia) we currently second nearly 4,000 Technical Engineering Specialists to the largest multi-national Oil & Gas Companies and major EPC Contractors, through well established global supply agreements.

Description of Service
The scope of work for the SERVICES includes but is not limited to the provision of expertise required to support COMPANY Health, Safety and Environmental study activities.
CONTRACTOR shall perform the above activities, and any others deemed necessary to meet the objective of the SERVICE, which shall also be deemed to include all necessary preparatory work to be performed by CONTRACTOR

Detailed Scope of Work
The expertise shall be required to carry out the following activities:

1.) Scoping exercise for Environmental Study (Environmental studies Sampling Design & methodology) (Estimated Duration: 2-5 days)

Review of the study approach to ensure that that all relevant aspects are captured in the scope of work e.g., physico-chemical, Hydro-biology, Fisheries, air quality conditions, sea bed survey etc
Review of methodology to be used for field sample collection, preservation and analysis of collected samples.
Review and update of the sampling plan/map to ensure suitability and acceptability based on existing regulations and industry best practices.
Review and amendment of study parameters to ensure completeness, acceptable representation, capture of all necessary environmental index.
Attend a scoping exercise sessions as may be organized by COMPANY with regulators attendance to give expert opinion/recommendations as the case may be.

2.) Detailed Report Review (Expert review and detailed Analysis of report findings) (Estimated Duration 2-5 days)

Detailed analysis of the report compared to the agreed scope of work
Detailed review of every physicochemical parameter analyzed and compared with the contractor expert opinion
Detailed review of study results to ensure completeness and accuracy of relevant environmental areas (Microbiology, hydrobiology, air quality, meteocean, Fisheries, etc)
Review of various findings in line with applicable regulations and best practices
Review of overall recommendations of the studies to ensure accuracy and acceptability.Attend a report review sessions as may be organized by COMPANY with the contractor study team representatives to give expert opinion/recommendations as the case may be.

3.) Witnessing / Validation of Laboratory Analysis (Estimated Duration 2-5 days)

Review of analysis methodology
QA/QC visit to the laboratory during the analysis phase to ensure accuracy and best practices.

Specialists required for the SERVICE
CONTRACTOR shall provide the required SERVICES through the use of specialists (consultants) who shall ensure quality deliverables as required in the areas listed in Table 1 below. The DELEGATE provided for the execution of the services in each of the areas shall be a Professor or PhD holder with at least three (3) years of post qualification in relevant field experience in the specific area.

Consultants Deliverables

Analytical Chemistry Develop methodologies, review reports or evaluate analyses on the physico-chemical Parameters (Nitrate, Conductivity, pH, BOD, COD, Temperature, TPH, PAH, Heavy & Trace metals, Salinity, TOC, etc) of marine environment for Deep offshore location
Marine Biology Develop methodologies, review reports or evaluate analyses on the Micro & Macro organisms of marine environment for Deep offshore location
Toxicology/Fisheries Develop methodologies, review reports or evaluate analyses on the Toxicology / Fisheries studies of marine environment for Deep offshore location
Air Quality/ Metocean Develop methodologies, review reports or evaluate analyses on the Wind direction, wind velocity, Relative humidity, Noise and other metrological parameters of marine environment for Deep offshore location

REQUIREMENT
The DELEGATE provided for the execution of the services in each of the areas shall be a Professor or PhD holder with at least three (3) years of post qualification in relevant field experience in the specific area.
