JOB TITLE: PLANT MANAGER
JOB LOCATION: IBADAN

About our client
Our client is a leading player in the Nigerian Beverage industry. We are looking to recruit a Plant Manager for its Fresh Juices factory, based in Ibadan, Nigeria.
The business unit is a beverage factory with 4 production lines of production from Tetrapak industries with a monthly capacity of 2.2 ML.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The main mission of the Plant Manager is to manage the factory and to ensure production deadlines and targets are met at the best quality.

  • Reporting to the board, your main mission would be to:
  • Plan and supervise production activities and establish all shift production schedules.
  • Analyze the quality reporting daily and supervise the quality control of the products to verify they meet the standards.
  • Oversee maintenance activities and coordinate planning for preventive maintenance between maintenance and production departments.
  • Monitor and control the production KPI’s daily
  • Plan procurement of raw materials and coordinate between purchasing, logistics and production.
  • Ensure all safety and hygiene procedures are implemented and followed.
  • Select and train plant supervisory and administrative staff and runs performance reviews
  • Make plans to improve productivity and efficiency

DUTIES

  • Who we are looking for
  • Engineering degree + Technical knowledge in beverage industry
  • You have a minimum of 15 years of experience in a beverage/ bottling factory with at least 5 years as Plant Manager. An experience in Sub-Saharan Africa or another emerging market is a plus.

OTHERS

  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of TETRA PAK machines
  • Proven ability to prioritize, initiate and drive project to completion.
  • Understanding of Marketing and R&D processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Projects.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Systems and Manufacturing SOP related to food processing.

Language skills : fluent in English
