The Babcock University Teaching Hospital (College of Health and Medical Sciences) comprise of Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry and Public Health. In addition, it will provide facilities for a 750-bed Hospital comprising of: 200-bed Children Hospital, 250-bed Women Hospital, and an Adult Hospital.

Also, the College will include an African Medical Research Centre where missionary-minded researchers shall render selfless services in finding solutions to various diseases that are depreciating the value of health on the African continent.

Applications are required from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:

1.) CHIEF NURSING OFFICER

Duties

Will head Unit of the hospital and report to the DNS or the delegate.
The Successful Candidate must be able to pass on skills and be involved in the training of nursing students on the ward.

Qualification

Candidates must possess BNSc Nursing, RN, RM (or equivalent) with 12 years experience. Diploma in Nursing Administration will be an advantage.

2.) ASSISTANT DIRECTOR NURSING

Candidates must possess

BNSc Nursing, RN, RM (or equivalent) with 15 years experience.
Additional Professional Qualification or Certification with experience in any health care discipline.
Will work with the Director of Nursing Service in administration of the nursing department.

3.) ASSISTANT CHIEF NURSING OFFICER

Duties

Will head unit of the hospital and report to the DNS or the delegate.
The successful candidate must be able to pass on skills and be involved In the training of nursing students on the ward

Qualification
Candidates must possess BNSc Nursing RN, RM( equivalent) with 10 years experience. Diploma In Nursing Administration will of advantage.

4.) SENIOR NURSING OFFICER

Duties

Will support the unit head and report to the unit head or the delegate.
The successful candidates must be able to pass on skills and be involved in the training of nursing students on the ward.

Qualification
Candidates must possess BNSc Nursing/RN,RM (or equivalent) with 5years experience.

5.) PRINCIPAL NURSING OFFICER

Duties

Will support the head of the unit in the patient management and report to the unit head or the delegate.
The successful candidate must be able to pass on skills and be involved in the training of nursing students on the ward

Qualification
Candidates must possess BNSc Nursing, RN, RM (or equivalent) with 8 years experience. Diploma in Nursing Administration will be an advantage.

6.) NURSING OFFICER I

Duties

Will support the urll head and report to the unit head or the delegate
The successful candidates must be able to pass on skills and be involved in the training of nursing students on the ward.

Qualification
Candidates must possess BNSc Nursing/RN RM (or equivalent) with 4 years experience

Nurses with training and certification in Anaesthetics, Nursing Peri-operative, ENT Nursing, Ophthalmic Nursing, Orthopaedic Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Accident and Emergency Nursing and Intensive Care Nursing shall be given advantage.
