Arbico Plc is recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities:
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
- Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.
- Valuing completed work and liaising with the Finance to arrange payments.
- Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
- Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
- Assisting in establishing a clients requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
- Performing risk and value management and cost control.
- Providing insight on contractual claims.
- Providing insight and advises on maintenance costs of specific buildings.
- Carry out frequent studies and reference on other project cases to solve any problems that occur in the field.
- Advising on procurement strategy.
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.
- Preparing and analysing costing for tenders.
Qualification / Experience:
- A good university degree in Quantity Survey.
- 6 - 12 years post-NYSC work experience in the construction industry would be preferred.
- Professional qualification would be an added advantage.
