Job Title: Administrative Officer / Accounting Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

  • The Administrative Officer / Accounting Officer will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative, financial, and clerical duties to support the efficient operation of the organization.

Responsibilities 
Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable: The staff will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, processing payments, and reconciling accounts.
  • Budgeting and Financial Analysis: The staff will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, assisting with budget preparation, and monitoring financial performance.
  • Office Administration: The staff will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the office, including organizing and maintaining files and records, scheduling appointments, and arranging travel and accommodations.
  • Communication and Coordination: The staff will be responsible for communicating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and other departments.
  • Compliance: The staff will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Other Duties: The Administrative Officer/Accounting Officer will be responsible for other duties as assigned by the management team, such as data entry, document preparation, and general office support.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance and accounting, as well as excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • The candidate should be proficient in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP, and have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
