Job Description
This position is responsible for the delivery of current and future LWD projects in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Supports and understands the LEAD program and its guidelines,
- Excellent knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry
- Provides resolution to problems of moderately complex scope at the well site where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
- Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the well site where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the Baker Hughes LWD tools and/or service.
- Acts as mentor to junior field engineers. Provides direct instruction and supervision to junior Field Engineers on day-to-day well site work and activities.
- Provides advice and direction to external customer and third-party well site colleagues as appropriate
- Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
- Communicates with companys Local Operations, Legal, tax, HSE, quality and finance representatives to identify various project-related risks or concerns.
- Coaches and mentors more junior LWD FSEs.
- Exercises judgment to determine the appropriate action at the well site by relying upon hands-on experience and classroom based training of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques
- Oversees implementation of GeoMarket well site execution strategy.
- Executes other related duties as assigned.
- Understands how to collaborate with a view of solving problems
- Responsible for knowing the operational status of field equipment at the well site and troubleshooting it when appropriate.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of College qualification or equivalent in allied sciences essential
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and related allied sciences preferred)
- 2+ years experience in an oilfield drilling and completions operations environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and related allied sciences
- Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Thorough knowledge of multiple product offerings.
- Proficient in the use of PCs
- Strong knowledge of Baker Hughes LWD tools and technologies.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead small to mid-size groups and mentor others.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven negotiating skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Baker Hughes Advantage software will be an added advantage.
