We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Accountant
Location: Lagos
Duties / Responsibilities
- Reconcile various accounts to ensure their accuracy while comparing financial records such as bank statements, credit card statements, and vendor invoices, with the company's internal records to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Financial data entry and recording into the accounting system. This includes entering invoices, payments, receipts, and other relevant data accurately and timely.
- Prepare and generate financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis (monthly, quarterly, or annually).
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies and present the reports to management or other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant data and provide input for developing budgets, financial plans, and projections for the future.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Review and process vendor invoices, issue payments, and maintain communication with suppliers.
- Contribute to establishing and maintaining internal controls within the organization and continue to improve processes to prevent fraud, ensure data integrity, and safeguard assets.
- Prepare and file tax returns, maintain documentation for audits, and stay updated with changes in tax regulations to optimize the organization's tax position and minimize liabilities.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices.
Qualifications & Skill Sets
- B.Sc Degree in Accounting / Finance or Economics (First Class / Second Class Upper Division)
- 1-3 years of work experience in a related role.
- Must be ICAN or ACCA certified or a student member.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Have a fundamental understanding of Accounting principles.
- Superb organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Great analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Residing or having the ability to relocate to Lekki - Chevron axis
