Our client is one of the largest International Oil and Gas service companies providing products and services for drilling, evaluation, completion, production, and intervention of oil and natural gas wells, pipeline construction and commissioning.
We are currently looking to recruit the position below
Job Position: Completions Product Optimization Engineer
Location: Port-Harcourt, Nigeria
Report to: Operations manager
Job Purpose
- The Completions product optimization engineer would be responsible for supervising the removal of drilling equipment and waste, evaluating findings to test, develop or design equipment and processes.
Responsibilities
- Model alternatives completion scenarios
- Tubing design and performance modeling.
- Multilateral wells; candidate selections, designs and installations.
- Participates in health, safety and environment (HSE) efforts and accountable for achieving team HSE goals.
- PMP generation and accountability, and participate in peer reviews.
- Ensures operational compliance with all laws and corporate policies and procedures by company and contractor personnel as they relate to teams activities.
- Well test; equipment selection, cleanup/flowback support.
- Mono-bore well construction
- Design and installation support
- New well contingency planning and workovers.
- Project support and team secondees.
- Actively shares best practices and lessons learned.
- Provide assistance for customer-specific priorities as requested such as onsite engineering services, training development and delivery, laboratory evaluations, and engineering studies.
- Provide quick response capabilities for short term answers to production engineering questions.
- Provide consultation, training, mentoring, and support.
- Mentoring engineering and new hires.
- Strong business acumen and customers focus.
- Responsible for the security of the teams project information and intellectual property.
- Responsible for compliance with corporate and ETC policies for HSE within the team.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years completion engineering experience.
- Strong, established network with other completion engineers, both internal and external and service provider personnel.
- Working to advanced knowledge of horizontal/multi-lateral well bore design, smart well completions, completion equipment selection, reliability, and well test equipment selection.
- Well site drilling, completion and/or remedial operations.
- Must be able to design and plan early stages of well completions, including, tubular design, materials selection, and integration of equipment.
