In countries affected by conflict and war, Women for Women International (WfWI) supports the most marginalized women to earn and save money, improve health and well-being, influence decisions in their home and community and connect to networks for support. By utilizing skills, knowledge, and resources, she is able to create sustainable change for herself, her family, and community.

Since 1993, Women for Women International (WfWI) has helped over 560,000 marginalized women in countries affected by war and conflict. We directly work with women in eight countries, offering support, tools, and access to life-changing skills to move from crisis and poverty to stability and economic self-sufficiency.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Vocational Skill Trainer (Crop Farming, Poultry, Piggery, Sheep & Goat)

Locations: Bauchi, Cross River, Kaduna & Plateau

Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver vocational skill training and support women take position economic action.
Conduct pre-training evaluation/assessment and tailor training to meet the participants’ needs to increase their chances of succeeding in their business environment.
Assess training material needs, take stock/inventory and ensure training equipment and tools needed are readily available.
Utilize training methods suitable for the target audience with a blend of multiple adult learning and extension techniques to achieve the goal of the program.
Provide business support information (market, funding source, insurance)

Qualification and Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or any other related field
A strong background and expertise in the specific vocational field with a year or two years’ of hands-on experience is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for delivering training sessions, explaining concepts and providing feedback
Possess knowledge of instructional strategies and adult learning principles, share real-world examples, demonstrate techniques, and provide practical insights to women.
Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary to ensure smooth and effective training delivery.
Must be familiar with various assessment techniques and be able to provide constructive feedback to help women improve their skills.
Experience working with marginalized women in communities.
Fluency in English, Pidgin and local language as appropriate
Must be adaptable to adjust teaching methods or materials based on the specific needs and learning styles of women.
Having hands-on practical experience in the vocational field is highly valuable.
