Future Resilience and Development Foundation (FRAD) is a registered non-profit organization with the corporate affairs commission, in accordance with Nigerian Law, FRAD work in both humanitarian and development sector to build the resilience of Vulnerable populations through our interventions in thematic areas of WASH, Nutrition, Protection, Education and early recovery and livelihood. Over the years, FRAD has reached more than 19,000 children, men, women and girls through its various interventions. FRAD work with the Mission to build the Resilience of vulnerable populations using locally available solutions that ensure participation and bring meaningful development, leaving no one behind.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Manager

Location: Borno

Job Summary
FRAD is implementing a NHF Funded Multisector Project for GBV and Nutrition in Borno state, the position will support entire FRAD response in effort to strengthen the accountability and monitoring of all programs of FRAD. The MEAL Manager is responsible for leading all MEAL activities in FRAD for various projects:

  • In close collaboration with the Program Manager, design and establish MEAL framework and structure for FRAD
  • Over all implementation of MEAL activities in FRAD at all levels
  • Develop, implement, and assess monitoring frameworks for projects, as well as for funding proposals
  • Develop the overall framework for current project MEAL systems in collaboration with donor and senior project staff, including requirements, reporting, baseline, and evaluation surveys; develop and monitor project management plan to systematically document performance
  • Facilitate design of “SMART” objectives, logic models, monitoring frameworks, and evaluation plans during annual work-planning process
  • Ensure the alignment of MEAL activities with program goals
  • Contribute to the development of annual and project work plans to identify project targets and ensure inclusion of MEAL activities.
  • Maintain existing indicator tracking tools; develop additional databases and tracking tools as needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of project interventions
  • Ensure adherence to specific monitoring and reporting requirements
  • Analyze data for accuracy, flag validation or quality issues, and contribute to system fixes
  • Edit content and presentation of all reporting and deliverables before submitting to ensure superior quality and professionalism
  • Contribute to developing and reporting of project reviews, assessments, surveys, and other analytic or evaluation processes and products
  • Conduct field visits for data validation and to monitor the quality and completeness of data sets; coordinate data collection at project sites to monitor program development and ensure timely compilation and reporting of data; capture and document lessons learned; and champion the scaling up best practices
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in any relevant field.
  • Degree in International Relief and Development, Social Sciences, Public Health, Statistics/Research Methods, or related fields; may be substituted for length of experience.
  • Thorough familiarity and field experience applying principles and approaches to monitoring and evaluation in humanitarian and emergency contexts using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Experience in Nutrition programming
  • Experience with capacity building of staff, and in convening and facilitating trainings and workshops.

Starting date: ASAP

  • 2-4 Years’ experience in planning for monitoring and evaluation.
  • Computer skills, especially in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, power bi, QGIS and Excel
  • IT literate
  • Experience in Electronic Data Collection.
