Our Client, a multinational Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company requires the following Personnel for it's operations in Port harcourt.
Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Description
- Perform engineering analysis and develop recommendations and alternatives in the solution of complex problems related to the plants electrical and control system. Carries out preliminary, basic and detailed facilities engineering design in-house and produce full design packages for the required plant modifications. Packages include but not limited to, electrical equipment installations, power supply arrangements, motor controllers and switchgears, motors, transformers, UPS, DC system, VSD systems, power monitoring systems.
- Review work and performance of third party contractors to achieve Company quality expectations.
- Prepares scope of work, justifications and complete expenditure requests as required, list of materials, drawings indicating the change, modifying all affected drawings, and providing cost estimates, single line diagrams, electrical calculations, cable sizing, specifications for electrical materials, hazardous area classification drawings, cable routings. Thorough knowledge in conducting and reviewing ETAP electrical studies for plant power distribution system.
- Prepares requisitions for Electrical materials procurement and technical bids evaluation.
- Prepares CFT and conduct technical presentations for Electrical engineering activities and technical evaluation.
- Lead and recommend new continuous improvement processes, standards, drawings and specifications.
- Interfaces with Procurement Dept., Project & Construction department.
- Draw up and cross-check relevant procedures, international standards and TOTAL General Specifications.
- Follows-up Purchase Orders for timely approval and participates in technical reviews and FAT with Vendors
- Develop design/modify integrated HV and LV electrical systems
Minimum Qualification:
- B.Sc./B.Eng.(Electrical Engineering) with minimum 10 years related working experience in an Engineering Organization in a similar design position.
- Use of Power tools, MS word, MS excels is required. Working knowledge of IEC Stds and most common international standards. Knowledge of AutoCAD, PDMS and ETAP is an advantage.
