Job Title: Business Manager
Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Overview
- As a Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating various aspects of our organization's operations to ensure efficiency, growth, and profitability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, implement strategic initiatives, manage resources, and make data-driven decisions to drive the company's success.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine the company's short-term and long-term business strategies.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Participate in the development of business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution of business activities.
- Streamline processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and lead cross-functional teams, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Set goals, evaluate performance, and provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment of teams with company objectives.
Financial Management:
- Monitor financial performance, analyze budgetary variances, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in financial planning, including revenue projections, expense management, and cost optimization.
- Contribute to pricing strategies and revenue generation initiatives.
Business Development and Sales:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand the company's footprint.
- Nurture client relationships, manage key accounts, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development of new products, services, or offerings based on market demand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years as a business manager in an Insurance/services/tech/oil and gas e.t.c
- Proven experience in business management, operations, or related roles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
