We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

You will work on-site to manage the cost of projects by ensuring that costs are kept within the budget, by using cost-effective methods while still meeting all quality and safety requirements.
You will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing cost estimates, and planning and reviewing cost reports throughout the project cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost-saving measures.
Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks related to cost and provide strategies for risk mitigation.Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
Cost Monitoring: Monitor project costs against budget, identifying and addressing any deviations.Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and validate costs.
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for construction projects, tracking costs and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.Provide regular financial reports to project stakeholders.
Contract Administration: Administer construction contracts, ensuring that both parties adhere to contractual obligations.Handle variations and claims, resolving disputes in a fair and timely manner.
Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to identify opportunities for value engineering, proposing cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
3 - 5 years experience.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional certification in Quantity Surveying or related field is a plus
Cost Control, Cost Planning, and Cost Management skills.
Experience in creating Bills of Quantities (BoQ)
Cost Reporting skills
Knowledge of construction regulations and safety standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
