Child Life-Line (CLL) is a non-profit, charitable association funded entirely by voluntary donations from individuals and organisations. It was registered as a charitable NGO with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in 2009, and is a member of the Unicef sponsored, Child Protection Network of NGOs and relevant government organizations.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Social Worker

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
As a Social worker, you'll need to:

  • Responsible for the health and Well-being of the Children in his care at the Centre.
  • Accountable for the monthly financial allocation to the Centre
  • Work in partnership with professionals from other organizations that support young people such as social care, health, police, education, youth offending teams and local authorities;
  • Attend regular training and development opportunities to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and local policy developments;
  • Undertake administrative tasks, maintain effective recording systems and respond to queries;
  • Work with parents and community groups to win support for improved provision and act as an advocate for young people's interests;
  • Supervise the children activities at the Centre
  • Responsible for the Counselling of the children
  • Responsible for report of all incidence at the Centre
  • Serve as parent for the Children
  • Assess the needs of young people, and plan and deliver programs related to areas such as health, fitness, smoking, drugs, gangs, violence, relationships and bullying;
  • Regularly monitor and review the quality of the local youth work provision;
  • Run arts-based activities, community/environmental projects, residential activities, outdoor education and sporting activities;
  • Befriend and support young people in different settings, including outreach work;
  • Mentor, coach and support individuals and encourage greater social inclusion;

Qualification

  • Qualification: BSc / B.Ed / B.A in Guidance and Counselling, Social Work or Educational Psychology.
