Job Title: Finance Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support strategic decision-making. This may include budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with different departments to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual variances.
  • Data Management: Gather, organize, and maintain financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Utilize financial databases and systems effectively.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze costs associated with various projects or business functions. Provide insights to optimize spending and improve efficiency.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess financial risks. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Trend Analysis: Track and analyze financial trends within the industry and the company, providing insights for future financial strategies.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct special financial analyses or projects as requested by management. Respond to specific inquiries and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to aid in decision-making processes and long-term planning when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) may be advantageous.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall financial strategy of the organization.
  • Experience: Typically requires a few years of experience in financial analysis or related roles. Familiarity with financial reporting standards and practices.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of post-NYSC work experience in a similar role.
