We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Abuja
Business Unit: Cainergy Group
Reports To: Co-CEO

Job Objective / Purpose of Job

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the efficient and effective operation and management of the finance/accounting and business support functions of the company, based on professional experience in accountancy, information technology, internal control, and taxation.

Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Oversee and manage all company accounts and investments.
Develop budgets and financial plans for the company/ group based on research and data analysis.
Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
Examine all financial reports (internal and external) closely to check for discrepancies.
Create systems to prevent errors in data collection, computations, classification and posting.
Report to the CEOs with timely and accurate financial information.
Assist the CEOs in presenting reports to Executive Management, Stakeholders and Board Members.
Create periodic performance reports - monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends relative to financial forecasts/ budgets.
Manage cash flows by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal controls.
Supervise and manage finance and accounts department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including contract accounting, taxation, payroll and billing.
Ensure that all financial transactions are properly classified, recorded, disclosed and reported.
Ensure tax, legislative and statutory requirements are met.
Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislations.
Collaborate and liaise with external auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations relevant to business operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Recognized Professional Accounting Qualifications – (preferably ACA, ACCA, CPA, ICMA).

Highly professional, with very good written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.

Proficient use of computer systems and software applications.
Superior self-management skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
Honesty, integrity and reliability, with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Very good written and verbal communication skills.
Computer skills and application of accounting software, with an understanding of data privacy standards for the utmost confidentiality.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
