We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time
Responsibilities
- Ensure all activities are effectively supervised and executed safely.
- Manage all electrical installations and applications for the rehabilitation program and ensure they are in line with customer needs and safety standards.
- Develop of maintenance work proposals/specifications for electrical activities according to standards and to ensure effectiveness and value for money.
- To assess current conditions of equipment and use expert knowledge to define and advise on necessary repair and upgrade requirements.
- Review work method statements for various executions to ensure correctness and completion as planned.
- Analyze electrical systems and equipment in the residential area facilities to define the current state of obsolescence and create solutions for the upgrade, to optimize performance and increase the efficiency of operation.
- Ensure all documentation is updated and as-built drawings are prepared for every major activity.
- Extract electrical material specifications from the CMMS for procurement purposes.
- Manage HSE on work sites to ensure compliance with company/government policies and regulations.
- Monitor safety and ensure HSSE aspects are addressed, and that preventive requirements and Learning from Incidents (LFI) are communicated and implemented thus enhancing the effectiveness of the HSSE MS.
- Develop in liaison with the implementation team and implement electrical discipline rejuvenation plans and communicate same, with stakeholders to ensure delivery of approved premise.
- Review Design, quantify, estimate and or verify work scopes for all maintenance works in liaison with the discipline engineering assurance team as well as process invoices and contractor payment to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Involved in project development and execution, developing, and specifying the list of all materials required for delivery of electrical rejuvenation activities to ensure no lapse or delays due to material unavailability.
Requirements
Education:
- A University degree in Electrical / Electronics / Power Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
- 5 - 7 years postgraduate experience with a minimum of 5 years experience in required functions such as power, motors, and instrumentation.
- Relevant Professional certifications are an added advantage.
