May & Baker Nigeria Plc was founded on September 4, 1944 as Nigeria's first pharmaceutical company. It has its origin in England, the United Kingdom in 1834 where three chemists founded Grimwade, May & Pickett, a firm for manufacturing chemicals for pharmaceutical products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Formulation and Development Officer

Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop new generic drug product formulations that comply with regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform product formulation trials.
  • Operate Lab scale manufacturing equipment during formulation trials.
  • Develop product specification.
  • Prepare new product development protocol and report.
  • Prepare stability and product samples for shelf life study and registration respectively.
  • Prepare product technology transfer protocol and report.
  • Provide technical support to Production and QC departments.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc / MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  • Minimum of 3 years cognate experience in similar role.

  • Proficiency in the use of the computer.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Work well with others
  • High moral values
  • An eye for details.
