Aba Power Limited a reputable and indigenous distribution licensee and the lessee for the Aba ring- fenced distribution zone in Abia State, Nigeria seeks highly organised and self-motivated professionals for the under-listed vacant positions in its subsidiary company, APL Electric (APLE), APLE will operate and maintain the electricity distribution ring-fence in Aba upon commissioning of the Aba Integrated Power project Aba IPP


Job Title: Sub-Transmission Linesmen

Number of positions: 4

Location: Abia

Responsibilities
    Sub-transmission lineman will implement line operations as directed by the SCADA team Supervisor or SCADA Operators. This may include but will not be limited to opening/closing sectionalizing equipment; clearing line faults; performing preventative and corrective maintenance; troubleshooting line faults as needed.

Qualifications

  •     Completion of Lineman training and apprenticeship program.
  •     Minimum of five years of experience in distribution and/or transmission line construction, repair, operations and/or commercial service with an electric distriubiton utility.
