Aba Power Limited a reputable and indigenous distribution licensee and the lessee for the Aba ring- fenced distribution zone in Abia State, Nigeria seeks highly organised and self-motivated professionals for the under-listed vacant positions in its subsidiary company, APL Electric (APLE), APLE will operate and maintain the electricity distribution ring-fence in Aba upon commissioning of the Aba Integrated Power project Aba IPP

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

  •     Designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods;
  •     Undertake maintenance, repairs and improvements of the electrical and SCADA systems at the company’s waste treatment facilities.
  •     Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
  •     This will include reactive breakdown and preventative maintenance.
  •     Typical equipment includes control panels, lighting, motors, fans and PLC’s. Experience in all types of control systems is essential.


Requirements

  •     HND/BSc in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent training in transmission system maintenance and operation will be a preference
  •     Minimum of five years of experience in communication system design, installation, operation, manintenance and repair for transmission and sub-transmission power systems.
