Etisalat Nigeria is recruiting to fill the below position of:
Job Title: Manager Turnkey Rollout Project
Job Location: Abuja, NG
Job Summary:
Manage activities of regional vendors and contractors on turnkey projects to ensure adherence to timelines, quality and other contractual agreements
Principal Responsibities:
- Liaise with the programme office and assist in the development of comprehensive work plans and strategies for achieving Etisalat Nigeria's turnkey rollout targets
- Liaise with the Access Network team and relevant vendors to facilitate smooth implementation of transmission, RF, switching/ core network and fibre systems
- Monitor implementation of regional network rollout and ensure compliance with best practices and standards
- Co-ordinate implementation and integration of switches into Etisalat Nigeria network on an on-going basis in line with subscriber growth and network expansion
- Liaise with procurement and logistics unit to ensure timely procurement and availability of required equipment
- Conduct site readiness start-up checks to ensure that requirements necessary for the installation of various segments of the site build are in place
- Collect, collate and distribute network rollout monitoring statistics
- Ensure close supervision of the implementation activities of vendors and contractors in assigned region
- Ensure the planning and execution of regional network rollout projects are in compliance with agreed implementation schedule
- Assist in ensuring quality audits and acceptances on switch equipment installations and integrations in assigned region
- Assist with the implementation of quality management processes
- Assist in identifying all realistic project risks, analyze probability and impact, and develop contingency plans to monitor and manage risks
- Ensure strict adherence to Etisalat Nigeria's network site rollout health, safety and environmental policies and site rollout best practices
- Participate in project kick-off meetings at the start of each new network rollout project and ensure the documentation of all project meeting minutes
- Review project progress against project plans and milestones and forecast project trends
- Prepare/ compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Head-Turnkey Rollout
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head-Turnkey Rollout
- Assist in ensuring initial project plans are complete and workable and co-ordinate all contract-approval requirements for turnkey network rollouts
- Assist in co-ordinating activities of contractors addressing scope or budget issues and ensure allocation of sufficient resources for project success
- Participate in detailed review of site build quotes from vendor/ contractor/ equipment suppliers
- Assist to ensure synchronization of implementation activities in order to deliver all elements on or before due date
Required Competencies/Qualification:
- First degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Relevant professional qualifications/ certifications will provide an advantage
- Between six (6) to eight (8) years of experience directly relevant to post-NYSC experience, with most recent three (3) years in a supervisory role
