Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of University librarian in the University of Jos.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Librarian

Job Location: Jos

Job Description
The University librarian shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the administration and co-ordination of all Library Services in the University.
The person to be appointed must possess good human relations and exhibit considerable ability and competence in librarianship.
He must also hove extensive and indepth knowledge of the University system.
The library being the Centre of academic activities of the University requires a librarian with a proven record of research, publications and administration.

Qualifications

  • A good honours degree plus a higher degree in library Science or a postgraduate diploma or Diploma in library Science or Information Technology
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant post-qualification experience in librarianship, including some years in an upper management position.


Salary

  • Consolidated salary of N6,030,962.00 per annum.
