We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Ophthalmic Nurse

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Working in the operating room as a scrub tech or operating room nurse
  • Working in an office conducting eye tests (like visual acuity; intraocular pressure measurement)
  • Working in a retinal specialist office preparing patients for eye injections; placing dilating drops, starting IVs for fluorescein angiography, doing optical coherence tomography among many other opportunities
  • Starting intravenous infusions for other tests or procedures
  • Preparing patients with eye drops for intravitreal injections
  • Contact patients to follow-up on procedures, patient teaching about upcoming procedures or surgery or help out at the front desk
  • Doing diagnostic procedures (when necessary).
  • Counseling of patients regarding ocular procedures; surgeries and use of medication.


Qualification

  • RN/B.Sc qualification.
  • 2-5 years experience.


Required Licenses / Certifications

  • Licensed Ophthalmic Nurse or registered nurses interested in ophthalmology
